Biography

Dawn Kozarian is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), and a National Certified Counselor (NCC). She is also an ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy) informed therapist. (ACT is a researched based therapy that is particularly effective for adults and teens that struggle with anxiety or depression.) In the past, Dawn has been a special education teacher for children with emotional behavioral challenges; and she has worked for Children’s Bureau as a counselor and educational liaison for many years. Dawn is a trained Active Parenting facilitator and has conducted parenting workshops for over fifteen years. She is a member of the American Counseling Association and the Indiana Counseling Association. In addition to one-on-one therapy and couples' counseling, Dawn is available for various workshop presentations, and achievement/intelligence testing.

She understands on a professional level, and from a personal perspective, the challenges that come with marriage, divorce, raising children, and blended families. Having studied gender issues for years, and having men in her life that she deeply respects, she has developed skill sets specifically for men wanting to improve their relationships with women.
